As for a connection to the system of https://www.deepl.com/translator.. It works Great,

First of all, it offer a wel english/spanish pair translation.. SEcond it gives synonims of words and ofers diferent expresion for the same sentence..

Third, hovering the mouse over the word translated, gives a dictionary of use... interactive..

Check out this application found at http://quest-app.appspot.com/download Sea eversion's desktop or laptop, recently made it possible to connect to https://www.deepl.com/translator.. It has the flaw that it doesn't have the services of the web page. if you offer synonyms of words, different expressions for the same phrase, or dictionary of use, but when one walks the race, just enable the option to click on "Control" which is to copy the selected text on screen and translate.

Ah, ok, I see. Yes, as I said, we’re working on implementing an API connection to DeepL, so stay tuned :)

Yes, that’s in our plans, actually! Can’t promise we’ll implement the whole workflow, with mouse hovering and whatnot, this will all depend on the API DeepL will provide. Stay tuned!

I agree wholeheartedly with you, Melchor. I have tested DeepL on a difficult philosophical article and on the text of a children’s book. (E->F in both cases). I find DeepL absolutely tremendous. It doesn’t think, of course, but that’s not really the point. Its output is way superior to Google’s or Bing’s and even to the translation of the published children’s book.
I am a professional translator (retired from the UN after a little over a quarter-century in the salt mines :).

Yes, Deepl has worried me enough that I even thought days ago at which point it might be seen as a threat to some professional translators. In my particular case, I was playing with it in the transpersonal psychology field and the results were really accurate... and I'm talking about a somewhat obscure branch that it's not very flexible with terminology. There were some hiccups like any tool but I would consider them as minor.
