  16. Dual-monitor with smartCAT

Have you tried using dual-monitor with smartCAT? If not, I highly recommend you try it. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗹-𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿? The ugly truth is - The editor windows feel condensed sometimes. - Too many distractions from taskbar button, desktop notifications and even from the many tabs currently opened on your current browser window. - There ain't enough space to view source document(s) and/or reference(s) when translating. Alt+tab constantly is disruptive to workflow. Switching between tabs in your browser only adds to this disruption. 𝗛𝗼𝘄? - Get a second monitor and just plug it in a monitor port on your laptop (vga, hdmi) (for PC users you must have 2 video cards installed before you can do this). - Using Chrome (or any browser that support multi-task and multi-tab). - Sign-in to smartCAT and open the document you want to translate. It would open in a new tab. - Click and drag the editor tab out of Chrome's tab bar. Now the editor tab is in its own window. You can drag it to the other monitor. - Press F11 to make it goes fullscreen. Now you have one whole screen for translating only. Profit! - The other screen can be used for research and viewing source document. Attached is a screenshot of my dual monitor setup. For best result, two monitors should have the same resolution. Black part on my screenshot is because it has lower resolution (1366 x 768) than my main monitor (1920 x 1080).
